Overview

Alumi-Span Docks is a Michigan dock manufacturer whose history dates to 1956. The system was originally developed as a division of Metalloy Foundry by mechanical engineer and boater Dick Berlin, who sought to create a lighter alternative to the heavy steel and wood dock systems common at the time.

Today, Alumi-Span manufactures complete aluminum dock systems, individual dock sections, structural components and accessories. Its products are made in the United States, and the company says some of its early docks have remained in service for more than 50 years.

Aluminum Dock Systems

Alumi-Span’s dock system uses anodized aluminum structural components designed to provide a lightweight alternative to traditional heavy dock construction. Standard sections are available in multiple dimensions, with custom sections available for certain configurations.

Dock Section Options

Customers can select from anodized aluminum, vinyl, stained cedar, treated pine and faux wood-grain aluminum decking. This allows the structural system to be configured around appearance, weight and maintenance preferences.

Platforms & Custom Configurations

Alumi-Span manufactures aluminum trusses and larger platform components for creating seating, swimming and entertainment areas at the end of or alongside a dock.

Dock Parts & Replacement Components
