These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of DockZonal, including our directory, business listings, project-matching and quote-request services, lead and referral services, content, and other features we may provide.
Effective Date: October 1, 2026
By accessing or using DockZonal, submitting information through the website, claiming or managing a business listing, or using any DockZonal service, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or its services.
DockZonal is an online marketplace and directory designed to help consumers, property owners, businesses, and other users discover and connect with independent dock builders, marine contractors, dock repair companies, boat lift companies, seawall and bulkhead contractors, marina contractors, installers, equipment providers, and related waterfront professionals.
You may use DockZonal only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the website or its services in any way that could damage, disable, interfere with, disrupt, or impair DockZonal or another user’s ability to access or use the service.
DockZonal provides information about independent businesses and may help users discover, contact, and connect with dock-related contractors, service providers, installers, suppliers, manufacturers, and other professionals.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, DockZonal does not itself perform dock construction, dock repair, marine construction, boat lift installation, seawall or bulkhead construction, inspections, maintenance, loading dock services, or other contractor services listed or described on the website.
DockZonal’s role may include providing business information, facilitating introductions, transmitting project requests, and helping users and independent service providers connect with one another.
Businesses and professionals listed on or connected through DockZonal are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents, partners, joint venturers, or representatives of DockZonal unless expressly stated otherwise.
DockZonal does not control how independent service providers perform their work and does not guarantee their quality, safety, legality, licensing, insurance, availability, pricing, workmanship, qualifications, experience, responsiveness, or reliability.
DockZonal may create and display business listings using information provided directly by businesses, users, publicly available sources, business websites, third-party data providers, or other sources.
While we may review, organize, verify, correct, or update listing information, DockZonal does not guarantee that every listing is complete, accurate, current, licensed, insured, available, or suitable for a particular project.
Businesses may contact DockZonal to request corrections or updates or to request ownership verification or claiming of a listing associated with their company. DockZonal may require reasonable information to verify that a person requesting control of a listing is authorized to represent the business.
DockZonal may allow users to submit information about a dock, marine, waterfront, boat lift, seawall, bulkhead, marina, or related project and request quotes, estimates, availability, consultations, or contact from relevant service providers.
When you submit a project, quote, or service request, you authorize DockZonal to use and transmit the information you provide for the purpose of attempting to connect you with potentially relevant independent service providers.
Information shared with service providers may include your name, telephone number, email address, general or specific project location, project description, requested services, budget or timing information, photographs, files, and other information you voluntarily include with your request.
Your request may be shared with one or more potentially relevant service providers. Those providers may contact you directly regarding your project, including to ask questions, discuss availability, arrange an on-site visit, provide an estimate, or discuss potential services.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that a provider will respond, visit your property, provide an estimate, accept the project, offer a particular price, or be available within your desired timeframe.
DockZonal may provide lead-generation, referral, introduction, or project-matching services to independent businesses and service providers.
DockZonal may receive compensation from a service provider in connection with a lead, referral, introduction, project opportunity, advertising arrangement, featured placement, subscription, or other commercial service.
Compensation may be based on the delivery of an inquiry or lead, an introduction, access to lead information, a subscription or advertising arrangement, or another agreed-upon commercial model. Unless expressly stated otherwise, compensation to DockZonal does not mean that DockZonal is a party to the contract between the customer and service provider.
Payment by a service provider for a lead, referral, introduction, or promotional service does not guarantee that the provider will contact the customer, receive a response, schedule an appointment, submit an estimate, win the project, enter into a contract, or generate any particular amount of revenue.
By submitting a project, quote, or service request, you understand that DockZonal may contact you regarding your request and that independent service providers receiving your request may contact you using the contact information you provide.
Communications may relate to your specific request, including project questions, estimates, scheduling, availability, site visits, or related services. Your use of DockZonal remains subject to applicable communications, privacy, and consumer-protection laws.
Users are responsible for evaluating any contractor, business, installer, supplier, or other service provider before hiring the provider, entering into an agreement, making a payment, or allowing work to begin.
You should independently verify credentials and information relevant to your project, which may include licensing, registration, insurance, permits, references, certifications, experience, warranties, contracts, pricing, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, association rules, and local requirements.
Unless DockZonal expressly states otherwise, prices, estimates, project scopes, schedules, warranties, contracts, deposits, financing, payment terms, change orders, and other commercial arrangements for contractor services are determined directly between the user and the independent service provider.
DockZonal is not a party to those agreements and is not responsible for collecting contractor payments, supervising the project, enforcing warranties, resolving payment disputes, or ensuring that either party performs its obligations, unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular service.
DockZonal may offer featured listings, sponsored placements, enhanced profiles, advertising, lead-generation services, subscriptions, or other paid promotional opportunities to businesses.
A business’s payment to DockZonal does not, by itself, mean that DockZonal endorses, certifies, recommends, guarantees, or independently verifies that business or the quality of its services. Sponsored or paid placements may receive greater visibility than unpaid listings.
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of information and materials you submit to DockZonal, including business information, project details, reviews, photographs, descriptions, messages, documents, and other content.
You represent that you have the right to provide the information and materials you submit and that DockZonal’s use of those materials for the purposes described in these Terms will not violate another person’s rights.
When you submit photographs, project descriptions, or similar materials as part of a request for contractor assistance, you authorize DockZonal to reproduce and transmit those materials to potentially relevant service providers as reasonably necessary to facilitate your request.
You may not submit content that is knowingly false, misleading, defamatory, fraudulent, infringing, unlawful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.
Certain features may allow business owners or authorized representatives to claim, manage, or update business listings. You agree to provide accurate information when requesting access to a listing or account.
You may not claim, modify, or attempt to control a listing for a business you are not authorized to represent. DockZonal may deny, suspend, revoke, or require additional verification of listing ownership or account access when reasonably necessary.
The DockZonal name, branding, website design, logos, original text, graphics, database organization, and other original content are owned by or licensed to DockZonal and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, scrape, sell, license, or commercially exploit substantial portions of DockZonal without prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable law.
You may not use DockZonal to engage in fraudulent activity, impersonate another person or business, submit false listings or project requests, interfere with website security, distribute malware, harvest personal information without authorization, send unlawful unsolicited communications, manipulate rankings or reviews, access the website through unauthorized automated means, scrape the website at excessive scale, misuse lead information, or otherwise use DockZonal in violation of applicable law or these Terms.
DockZonal may contain links to websites or services operated by contractors, service providers, advertisers, manufacturers, suppliers, booking or payment providers, or other third parties. DockZonal does not control those third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, products, services, terms, or privacy practices.
DockZonal does not guarantee that a user will find a provider, receive a response or quote, obtain a particular price, hire a contractor, complete a project successfully, or achieve any specific outcome.
Likewise, DockZonal does not guarantee that businesses will receive inquiries, exclusive leads, qualified leads, appointments, estimates, customers, contracts, traffic, sales, or revenue from being listed, promoted, referred, or participating in DockZonal’s services unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise.
DockZonal does not guarantee the number, frequency, value, accuracy, responsiveness, or availability of project opportunities or leads in any geographic area or service category.
Unless DockZonal expressly identifies a particular opportunity as exclusive, a project request may be offered or provided to more than one potentially relevant service provider.
DockZonal may use factors such as service category, project location, stated service area, availability, business information, responsiveness, customer needs, commercial arrangements, or other relevant considerations when deciding which service providers may receive or be offered a particular opportunity.
When DockZonal identifies a purchased lead as “exclusive,” DockZonal will deliver that inquiry to only the purchasing business and will not sell or distribute the same inquiry to another service provider. Exclusivity applies only to distribution by DockZonal. The prospective customer remains free to contact, compare, or hire other businesses independently.
Before purchase, DockZonal will provide a summary of the available project information, the applicable price, whether the lead is exclusive or shared, and any delivery timeframe or additional purchase conditions. A project summary alone does not reserve a lead. Availability will be confirmed before payment is accepted.
After payment is confirmed, DockZonal will deliver the prospective customer’s supplied contact information and available project details, including photographs when provided, through email or another agreed delivery method. A lead is considered delivered when this information is sent to the business’s designated email address or made accessible through the agreed delivery method. If DockZonal cannot deliver the purchased lead, the business will receive a full refund.
Descriptions such as “confirmed” or “verified” refer only to the specific checks DockZonal states it performed. They do not guarantee the customer’s future responsiveness, budget, readiness to hire, or decision to proceed.
Unless different lead-purchase conditions are expressly disclosed and accepted before payment, a purchased lead qualifies for a full refund if:
To request a refund, contact DockZonal through our Contact Us page within three business days after delivery. Include your business name, purchase details, the reason for your request, and supporting information. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. For a distribution error involving an exclusive lead that could not reasonably have been discovered within that period, report the issue within three business days after discovering it.
A customer’s failure to answer, decision to postpone or cancel, selection of another contractor, rejection of an estimate, or failure to hire the purchasing business does not, by itself, make a lead invalid or qualify it for a refund.
An existing relationship with the customer does not, by itself, make a new project inquiry a duplicate. Unless disclosed otherwise before purchase, duplicate eligibility applies when DockZonal previously sold the same inquiry to the purchasing business.
DockZonal will review timely requests and communicate its decision within five business days. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. A replacement lead or account credit may be provided instead if the purchasing business agrees. Payment-provider processing times may affect when a refund appears in the business’s account.
Lead purchases are also subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If the general policy differs from the lead-specific conditions in this section, these lead-specific conditions control unless different conditions were expressly disclosed and accepted before purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies available under applicable law.
Businesses may use information received through a purchased lead only to evaluate, contact the prospective customer about, and provide services for the submitted project. Businesses may not resell or redistribute the lead, add the customer to unrelated marketing campaigns without appropriate consent, or use the information for unrelated purposes. Businesses are responsible for safeguarding the information and complying with applicable privacy and communications laws.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DockZonal and its website and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. DockZonal makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding uninterrupted availability, completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, security, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or the performance, conduct, qualifications, products, or services of any contractor, business, advertiser, supplier, or other third party appearing on or connected through DockZonal.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DockZonal and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of DockZonal.
This includes, to the extent permitted by law, damages or losses arising from reliance on listing information, project requests, leads, communications or interactions with service providers, contractor selection, property damage, delays, disputes, payments, contracts, workmanship, or transactions between users and independent third parties.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless DockZonal and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and representatives from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of DockZonal, violation of these Terms, violation of another party’s rights, unlawful conduct, or content or information you submit through the service.
DockZonal may restrict, suspend, remove, or terminate access to the website, accounts, listings, submissions, lead services, promotional services, or other features when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, when required by law, when fraudulent or abusive activity is suspected, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, businesses, DockZonal, or the integrity and security of the platform.
Our collection, use, disclosure, and handling of personal information are also governed by our Privacy Policy. Users submitting project or quote requests should review the Privacy Policy to understand how information may be used and shared in connection with DockZonal’s services.
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or add features or services to DockZonal from time to time. We may also update these Terms of Use periodically. Revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of DockZonal after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Except where otherwise required by applicable law, these Terms and disputes arising from or relating to DockZonal will be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, and any additional terms or written agreements that apply to a particular DockZonal service, constitute the agreement between you and DockZonal regarding your use of the website and services covered by these Terms.
