Master Docks of Lake Lure is a full-service dock and waterfront contractor serving Lake Lure and surrounding Western North Carolina lake communities. Master Docks acquired the former Marathon Builders operation in Lake Lure in 2024, continuing a local custom home and dock-building business whose roots date to 1999.

The Lake Lure operation handles new dock construction, boathouses, boat lifts, repairs, remodeling, seawalls, riprap and marina projects. Master Docks is also a licensed North Carolina general contractor and provides permitting support for waterfront projects.

Custom Dock Construction

Master Docks builds both stationary and floating boat docks. Its broader product line includes aluminum and steel dock systems as well as single-slip, double-slip, platform and other custom dock configurations.

Boathouses

Custom boathouses are a significant part of the Lake Lure operation. The company builds stick-built boathouses and can combine them with docks, lifts and other waterfront features.

Boat & PWC Lifts

Master Docks installs boat and personal-watercraft lifts and works with several lift manufacturers, including Hewitt, Sunstream, Float Air and Wave Armor. Lift options include standalone, floating and drive-on systems.

Dock Repair & Remodeling

Existing docks can be repaired or substantially remodeled. Master Docks also services boat lifts and provides marina maintenance, making the company relevant for both new construction and existing waterfront infrastructure.

Seawalls & Riprap
